Removal of an obsolete satellite yard, in the heart of Burbank’s media district, has created the opportunity for a new courtyard space. Intended as flexible space for employees and small events, the courtyard materials borrow from the adjacent brick and concrete building, and includes a large custom shade structure and vine trellis. The plant palette blends Mediterranean and desert species with productive plants like citrus trees, making the most of limited planting areas.
